I travel to locations within 30 minutes of Zurich at no extra cost .

Frequently Asked Questions
What types of animals do you photograph?
I photograph them all! Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, turtles, hamsters, and many more.
Is it okay if I’m in some of the photos with my pet?
Of course. I love photographing people together with their pets.
My dog is a bit nervous — will we still get good results?
No problem at all. I take plenty of time so your dog can get used to me and the situation.
My cat is very shy. Can you still photograph her?
My experience has shown that this is possible as long as your cat stays in the room when a visitor enters your home.
If your cat is extremely fearful and hides away from visitors, it is usually not possible.
How long does a photo session last?
A typical session usually lasts around 60–90 minutes. I work without time pressure and leave extra time in case the session needs to run longer. Some sessions may end earlier if the pet is ready to be done.
How many edited photos will I receive?
I do not guarantee a specific number of final edited images, as this depends on your pet’s behavior.
However, if your pet does well during the session, I typically deliver at least 5 images for studio sessions and around 10 images for outdoor sessions.
What does private usage rights mean? Do I own the images from the session?
All photos you receive from Wiau Portraitfotografie by Sophie Herter are intended for personal use only.
Commercial use, resale, or distribution to third parties (for example, posting by other social media accounts) is not permitted.
Likewise, use for business or commercial purposes — such as tagging a business or using promo codes — is not allowed.
The copyright for all images remains with the photographer, Sophie Herter.
If you are interested in usage beyond personal use, please feel free to contact me. I’m happy to explain your options and answer any questions regarding licensing.
